Retail Staff Pharmacist | Kerman, California

A pharmacy opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to provide essential maternity leave coverage at a busy retail pharmacy site. This contract role is based in Kerman, CA, and offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, making it an excellent fit for those seeking a balanced workweek.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with state laws and pharmacy regulations
• Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and answer questions related to prescriptions
• Review prescriptions for completeness, accuracy, and possible drug interactions
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify prescription orders and optimize patient care
• Maintain pharmacy records and ensure compliance with pharmacy standards and protocols
• Manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels
• Mentor and support pharmacy technicians and other staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Current pharmacist license recognized in California
• Prior experience in retail pharmacy settings with strong knowledge of prescription processing
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to accurately interpret and process prescriptions
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
