This opportunity is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist to support specialty retail operations with a focus on sterile and non-sterile compounding. This role provides hands-on experience in a dynamic pharmacy setting utilizing PK order entry software, with training offered for candidates unfamiliar with the system. The position is contract to hire, offering the potential for direct employment after a 13-week assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and compound sterile and non-sterile preparations following established protocols
- Utilize PK system for order entry and prescription processing efficiently
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and safety protocols
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff and healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain inventory and proper storage of medications and compounding supplies
Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina pharmacy license required
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience
- Experience in sterile compounding strongly desired
- Experience in non-sterile compounding considered an asset
- Ability to adapt to the PK order entry system; training provided as needed
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break
Work Environment:
- Specialty retail pharmacy with emphasis on both sterile and non-sterile compounding
