An opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support pharmacy operations at a 250-bed community hospital in Kingman, AZ. This position offers the chance to apply your hospital pharmacy expertise in a fast-paced environment focused on quality patient care.
Schedule & Location:
- Night shifts, 7 on / 7 off
- Shift hours: 9:00 pm to 7:30 am
- Location: Kingman, Arizona
- Immediate start
- 13+ week assignment with potential to convert to permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders for accuracy and safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses for optimal patient medication management
- Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and dose adjustments as needed
- Utilize Meditech system effectively for pharmacy documentation and communication
Qualifications:
- Current and active Arizona Pharmacist license required
- Hospital pharmacy experience essential
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts
- Strong knowledge of medication safety and clinical pharmacy practices
