Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Kokomo, IN

A Per Diem Staff Pharmacist position is available at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) operating a 340B pharmacy. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment that supports community health initiatives and comprehensive pharmacy services.

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Lunch 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Lunch 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
• No holidays or weekend shifts required
• Dates needed: January 29 and January 30

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare drugs and prescription orders for collection or delivery with accuracy and efficiency
• Oversee ordering of equipment and supplies to maintain optimal pharmacy operations
• Control inventory, ensuring proper storage of prescription drugs and controlled substances following best practice protocols
• Verify prescription details with healthcare providers when necessary
• Maintain approved drug lists and monitor expiration dates
• Monitor product displays, shelves, and overall pharmacy appearance to meet standards
• Address customer requests and complaints professionally and compassionately
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, patient information, and insurance claims
• Provide telepharmacy support as needed
• Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to assess staff progress and pharmacy needs
• Ensure pharmacy services comply with state and federal regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Indiana Pharmacist license (verified)
• Immunization license required
• Resume, skills checklist, and references to be submitted
• Experience with Liberty RX software preferred
• Spanish-speaking ability considered a plus
