Join a dedicated healthcare setting as a Staff Pharmacist providing essential pharmacy services within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and 340B pharmacy environment. This per diem opportunity offers an engaging work schedule from Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a daily lunch break from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. No holidays or weekends are required, with shifts available on January 29 and 30.

Location: Kokomo, IN
Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Friday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Lunch daily: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
  • No weekends or holidays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare drugs and prescription orders for pickup or delivery.
  • Oversee ordering of equipment and supplies to maintain smooth pharmacy operations.
  • Control and monitor inventory, including adherence to best practices for storing prescription drugs and controlled substances.
  • Verify prescription details with healthcare providers as needed to ensure accuracy and safety.
  • Maintain an approved list of drugs and controlled substances, checking expiry dates regularly.
  • Monitor the appearance of product displays, shelves, and overall pharmacy presentation.
  • Address customer requests and resolve complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Keep accurate records related to inventory, patient information, and insurance claims.
  • Provide telepharmacy support to extend pharmacy services.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to support pharmacy staff progress and needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Indiana Pharmacist License (verified).
  • Immunization license required.
  • Experience working with Liberty RX software is a plus.
  • Spanish speaking skills are an advantage.
