Staff Pharmacist – Per Diem Opportunity in La Grange, KY

Seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist for per diem coverage at a specialty pharmacy focusing on HIV/AIDS medications. This role involves supporting retail pharmacy operations with a focus on accuracy and excellent patient care. Ideal candidates will bring experience with HIV/AIDS therapies and a strong ability to supervise pharmacy technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions while ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Check and verify medications for accuracy and appropriateness
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily tasks
  • Manage workflow efficiently during assigned shifts
  • Utilize Pioneer Rx software for prescription processing and documentation
  • Provide knowledgeable support related to HIV/AIDS medications (preferred)

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Kentucky pharmacist license required
  • Prior retail pharmacy experience essential
  • Experience with HIV/AIDS medications highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians effectively

Schedule:

  • Per diem shifts including:
    • Wednesday 5/13, 9 AM – 6 PM
    • Thursday 5/14, 9 AM – 6 PM
    • Friday 5/15, 10 AM – 2 PM
  • Potential for 4 hours of paid training before scheduled shifts
