A mail order renal specialty pharmacy is seeking skilled pharmacists for temporary contract roles in La Vergne, TN, supporting their high-volume operations of approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. This opportunity offers consistent 40-hour workweeks across two afternoon/evening shifts with no on-call responsibilities.
Schedule:
- Two Pharmacists: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM shift
- One Pharmacist: 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) processes
- Conduct final verification of prescriptions ensuring accuracy of medications and labels
- Verify directions and prescription details against hard copy orders
- Utilize the Wellsky order entry system to process prescriptions, supporting medication safety and compliance
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist eligible to practice in Tennessee
- Experience with prescription verification and medication safety protocols
- Familiarity with mail order pharmacy operations preferred
- Competency with electronic pharmacy systems, particularly Wellsky, is an advantage
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment without automation assistance
