This opportunity is for an experienced pharmacist prepared to work independently in a specialized retail pharmacy setting focused on HIV/AIDS care. The role requires managing all pharmacy operations solo, without the assistance of a pharmacy technician, serving approximately 20-30 prescriptions daily. A strong background in HIV/AIDS medication dispensing and excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare providers are essential.

Location:

  • Lake Wales, FL

Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Contract Details:

  • Start Date: August 24 (includes 2 weeks of training alongside the current PIC)
  • Duration: 16 weeks total
  • No return-to-office (RTO) days permitted during contract period due to single pharmacist site requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense HIV/AIDS medications and manage prescription volume independently
  • Provide high-level patient care and ongoing support
  • Maintain strong, clear communication with patients and healthcare providers
  • Adhere to punctuality and commitment standards for consistent daily attendance
  • Engage positively with staff and patients to foster a supportive environment

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Florida pharmacist license in good standing
  • Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience
  • Demonstrated experience dispensing HIV/AIDS medications (even minimal experience must be noted)
  • Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software highly preferred
