Staff Pharmacist | Lamont, California

A full-time opportunity is available for a Compounding Pharmacist in Bakersfield, CA, through July 2026, with a strong potential for permanent placement. This role focuses on both sterile and non-sterile compounding practices, supporting patient care with precision and expertise within a regulatory-compliant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and perform sterile and non-sterile compounding to ensure medication safety and efficacy
• Conduct final verification of prescriptions for accuracy before dispensing
• Fill, label, and prepackage medications according to prescriptions and standards
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to clarify orders, manage refills, and ensure proper medication use
• Provide patient counseling to address medication questions and promote adherence
• Maintain compliance with USP 795, 797, 800 standards and Board of Pharmacy regulations

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:15 AM – 5:15 PM

Qualifications:

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree
• Active pharmacist license in California is required
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience; compounding experience preferred
• Retail pharmacy experience is considered an asset
• Strong organizational and communication skills essential for this role
