Pharmacist in Lancaster, OH

Two staffing pharmacist opportunities are available for a contract role from late May through mid-August 2026, supporting inpatient hospital care in Lancaster, OH. This position focuses on medication management within a 222-bed facility with an average daily census of 120 patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify inpatient medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Provide oversight and verification of sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous compounding processes
• Attend hospital codes and provide pharmacotherapy support
• Assist nursing and provider staff with antibiotic and renal dosing
• Dispense medications and offer patient education as needed
• Support pharmacy operations alongside technician staff, including preparation and delivery of medications

Qualifications & Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Ohio
• Solid inpatient hospital experience including:
  • Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) verification
  • Pharmacotherapy knowledge with focus on antibiotic and renal dosing
  • Compounding oversight (sterile, non-sterile, hazardous)
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively

System Knowledge:

• Cerner EHR (order entry system; training available)
• Pyxis Automated Dispensing Cabinet (site automation)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Coverage every 6th weekend required
