Staff Pharmacist | Lees Summit, Missouri

A hospital pharmacy opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support night shift operations. This contract role starts ASAP and extends for 13 weeks or longer in Independence, MO. The schedule consists of seven consecutive night shifts followed by seven nights off, with working hours approximately from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, managing pharmacokinetic services, and consulting with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care. The night shift team typically consists of one pharmacist and two technicians, providing a collaborative work environment.

Key qualifications and experience desired:

• Active Missouri pharmacist license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Strong communication and clinical consultation skills
• Ability to supervise and coordinate activities of pharmacy technicians during night shifts
