A retail HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy in Lehigh Acres, FL is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist for a 16-week contract to cover maternity leave. This role begins on 8/24 and includes comprehensive training alongside the current PIC for two weeks. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
This position operates as a single pharmacist site without pharmacy technician support, managing a daily volume of 20-30 prescriptions. The pharmacist must confidently handle all dispensing responsibilities independently. Ongoing training and support are provided after the initial training period to help you succeed in this specialized setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense HIV/AIDS specialty medications
- Provide high-level patient care and education specific to HIV/AIDS treatments
- Maintain strong communication with patients and healthcare providers
- Manage daily pharmacy operations independently without technician assistance
- Ensure consistent on-time attendance and commitment throughout the contract duration
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Florida pharmacist license
- Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience
- Experience with dispensing HIV/AIDS medications (must be highlighted on resume)
- Proficiency or familiarity with QS1 software highly preferred
- Exceptional communication skills with patients and providers
- Dependable, with a positive and professional attitude
