Staff Pharmacist in Lena, IL

Provide expertise as a Staff Pharmacist in a retail pharmacy setting for an 8-week assignment based in Galena, Illinois. • Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

  Software: Pioneer (experience preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately under manager supervision, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Counsel patients on medication use, protocols, and potential side effects.
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints according to established policies.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and controlled substance records and inventories.
• Resolve patient-related issues and clarify insurance and third-party coverage details.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and clear pharmacist license in the state of Illinois.
• Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Experience with Pioneer software is highly preferred but not mandatory.
