Pharmacist - Lenoir, NC

A community hospital with 150 beds in Western North Carolina is seeking two skilled pharmacists to join their team. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a dynamic hospital environment and are looking for opportunities ranging from contract to permanent positions.

Location: Morganton, NC
Schedule: 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts
Shift mix: Days and afternoons (Afternoon shifts approximately 10:30 AM to 9 PM)
Start Date: Immediate availability preferred
Technology: EPIC and Pyxis systems

Key responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
• Applying pharmacokinetics principles in patient care
• Consulting with physicians and nurses to optimize medication therapy
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist license and credentials appropriate for the state
• Experience using EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems preferred
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Commitment to patient safety and quality pharmacy care
