A hospital-based role is available for a licensed Staff Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care during daytime shifts from May 4 to August 1. This contract position offers the opportunity to apply clinical skills in a university healthcare setting, supporting patient care and medication safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review medication orders from physicians and physician extenders to ensure appropriateness of drug choice, dose, frequency, and administration route
  • Assess patient allergies, medical history, potential drug interactions, and relevant lab results to identify clinical conflicts before dispensing
  • Manage medication inventory control to maintain safe and adequate stock levels
  • Provide drug information and clinical support to healthcare team members
  • Supervise pharmacy students and technicians, ensuring accuracy and safety in medication preparation
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team on care planning and discharge activities, contributing to quality patient outcomes

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (required); Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
  • Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License (required)
  • Minimum of 1 year hospital experience or completion of Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred but not mandatory

Location: Levittown, PA
Schedule: Five 8-hour day shifts per week
Job Type: Contract (May 4 – August 1)
