Location: Levittown, PA
Type: Contract (temporary assignment from May 4 through August 1)
Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Review medication orders from physicians and physician extenders to ensure appropriateness of drug choice, dose, frequency, and route of administration
- Assess patient allergies, medical history, drug interactions, and lab results to identify potential clinical conflicts before dispensing medications
- Manage inventory control and ensure accuracy in medication preparation
- Provide drug information and consult with healthcare team members to support optimal patient care
- Supervise pharmacy students and technicians during medication preparation, maintaining safety and accuracy standards
- Collaborate with the healthcare team on discharge planning and continuity of care
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year hospital or clinical pharmacy experience, or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) preferred
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
