Job Type: Per Diem (PRN)
Schedule:
- Approximately 2 days per month with flexible scheduling
- Additional PRN coverage opportunities available as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and process physician orders, verifying insurance benefits efficiently
- Perform sterile compounding and maintain cleanroom operations according to USP 797 standards
- Ensure safe dispensing of medications and infusion-related supplies
- Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to uphold quality and safety
- Manage assigned patient caseloads and provide pharmacist coverage as needed
Qualifications:
- Active Maine Pharmacist License in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience; 2+ years clinical pharmacy experience preferred
- Proven experience in infusion therapy and sterile compounding
- Thorough knowledge of USP 797 sterile compounding standards
- Strong communication, multitasking, time management, and critical-thinking abilities
