Staff Pharmacist | Lexington, North Carolina

A specialty retail pharmacy is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist to support their sterile and non-sterile compounding operations. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity based in Lexington, NC, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including a one-hour lunch break. The initial contract duration is 13 weeks, with strong potential for direct hire.

This role involves utilizing order entry software PK, which is similar to QS1; training will be provided for candidates unfamiliar with this system. The ideal candidate will have experience working in pharmacy settings that include compounding and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and patient safety.

Responsibilities include:

• Dispensing medications accurately in compliance with legal and safety regulations
• Performing sterile and non-sterile compounding procedures where applicable
• Utilizing order entry systems to process prescriptions efficiently
• Providing exceptional pharmacist care and patient consultation when required
• Maintaining proper documentation and inventory levels in the pharmacy
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals and supporting staff to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active North Carolina pharmacy license is required
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience
• Experience in sterile compounding is a strong plus
• Experience in non-sterile compounding is also beneficial
• Willingness to learn and adapt to specific order entry software (training provided)
