Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Littleton, CO

Provide professional pharmacist services in a retail pharmacy setting associated with a hospital, ensuring accurate dispensing and excellent patient care from August 24th through 28th. Location: Littleton, Colorado (assignment coverage in Haxtun, Colorado)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
• Includes a 1-hour lunch break

Key Responsibilities:

• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and adherence
• Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions, performing all necessary verifications
• Manage daily pharmacy operations as the sole pharmacist on-site
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow efficiency

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active, clear Colorado Pharmacist license
• Recent experience as a practicing pharmacist—open to new graduates who are comfortable managing the pharmacy independently
• Ability to work confidently as the only pharmacist on site
• Strong communication and patient counseling skills

Additional Details:

• Pharmacy volume is approximately 500 prescriptions per week
• Staffing includes two full-time pharmacy technicians and occasional PRN pharmacists, but coverage will primarily be independent during this assignment
• Hospital may provide onsite housing depending on availability; if unavailable, hotel accommodations will be arranged
