Staff Pharmacist - Lompoc, CA

Provide critical pharmacy services at a busy healthcare facility supporting 60 acute care beds and over 100 long-term care beds. This 13-week contract role offers an ASAP start with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, primarily variable days and afternoons. The position involves working with Altera Sunrise, a specialized electronic health record system, with training provided.

Responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care, and performing pharmacokinetic evaluations. This role requires strong clinical judgment and effective communication within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current California pharmacist license required
• Experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
• Familiarity or willingness to learn Altera Sunrise system
• Ability to supervise and collaborate with pharmacy support staff
• Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics and clinical pharmacy practices
