Provide pharmaceutical expertise in a dynamic acute and long-term care setting serving 60 acute care and over 100 long-term care beds. This contract position offers a 13-week assignment with an immediate start, supporting pharmacy operations through order verification, supervision of pharmacy technicians, and clinical consultation with healthcare teams.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and dispense medication orders accurately
- Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring workflow efficiency and compliance
- Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication management and pharmacokinetics
- Utilize Altera Sunrise system to manage pharmacy operations (training provided)
Schedule:
- Variable days and afternoons
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
Desired Qualifications:
- Active California Pharmacist license
- Current hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Ability to adapt to a new pharmacy information system with training
