This opportunity calls for a skilled pharmacist to support a healthcare facility providing pharmacy services to 60 acute care beds and over 100 long-term care beds. The role is a 13-week contract position with an ASAP start date, offering the chance to make an immediate impact in a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform order verification to ensure accuracy and safety of medication dispensing.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient operations.
  • Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapy and patient care.
  • Apply knowledge of pharmacokinetics to optimize dosing regimens.
  • Utilize the Altera Sunrise information system; training will be provided for this unique platform.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Valid California pharmacist license required.
  • Current hospital pharmacy experience preferred to handle the acute care setting effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Ability to adapt to a variable schedule, including days and afternoons, working four 10-hour shifts per week.
