Staff Pharmacist in Long Beach, CA

Join a fast-paced healthcare environment serving multiple outpatient oncology infusion sites across the Greater Los Angeles area. This contract opportunity seeks skilled pharmacists who can confidently handle complex IV preparations, including chemotherapy, and ensure compliance with stringent USP 797/800 standards. Assignments will take place at various metropolitan locations, including West LA, Santa Monica, and Atascadero, offering a dynamic work experience that requires flexibility and travel availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and check IV medication orders with precision and accuracy
• Ensure compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 sterile compounding standards
• Support outpatient oncology infusion services by preparing and reviewing chemotherapy and other IV therapies
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care and medication safety
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records to document and manage pharmacy activities

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with active credentials
• Strong expertise in IV medication preparation and verification
• Solid knowledge of USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines
• Experience with chemotherapy protocols preferred but not required
• Comfortable traveling between multiple outpatient clinic locations in the Los Angeles metropolitan area
• Ability to work Monday through Friday during daytime shifts

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shifts

Duration and Location:

• Contract position starting immediately, with a duration of 13 weeks or longer
• Assignments located across several facilities within the Greater Los Angeles region, including West LA, Santa Monica, and Atascadero
