A healthcare facility within a large county health system is seeking skilled Staff Pharmacists to provide quality pharmaceutical care while supporting their pharmacy operations. Location:
- Long Beach, CA
Schedule:
- Variable days and afternoon shifts
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (4/7 schedule)
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently within hospital protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient drug therapy and outcomes
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Participate in competency evaluations and adhere to organizational policies
- Contribute to medication safety and inventory management
Desired Qualifications:
- Completed PGY1 residency preferred; candidates with approximately two years of recent inpatient experience considered
- Active pharmacist license in good standing
- Strong clinical knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations
- Ability to pass a competency exam upon hiring (one attempt only)
- Successful completion of background (Livescan) screening prior to start

- This position is initially a contract role supporting pharmacy staffing needs within the county health system; temp-to-perm opportunities are available though permanent hire timelines may extend beyond six months
