Staff Pharmacist in Long Beach, CA

A healthcare facility within a large county health system is seeking skilled Staff Pharmacists to provide quality pharmaceutical care while supporting their pharmacy operations. Location:

• Long Beach, CA

Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoon shifts
• Four 10-hour shifts per week (4/7 schedule)

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently within hospital protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient drug therapy and outcomes
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Participate in competency evaluations and adhere to organizational policies
• Contribute to medication safety and inventory management

Desired Qualifications:

• Completed PGY1 residency preferred; candidates with approximately two years of recent inpatient experience considered
• Active pharmacist license in good standing
• Strong clinical knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations
• Ability to pass a competency exam upon hiring (one attempt only)
• Successful completion of background (Livescan) screening prior to start

• This position is initially a contract role supporting pharmacy staffing needs within the county health system; temp-to-perm opportunities are available though permanent hire timelines may extend beyond six months
