Staff Pharmacist - Long Beach, CA

Pharmacy professionals are needed for a long-term contract position within a major county health system hospital setting. Location:

• Sylmar, CA (within the Los Angeles County Department of Health System)

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts
• Flexibility required to work primarily first and second shifts, with occasional third shifts

Desired Experience:

• Preference for new PGY-1 residents
• Consideration given to pharmacists with hospital experience, including interns, even if not PGY-1 trained
• Approximately 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmaceutical care in an inpatient hospital environment
• Participate in on-site interviews as part of the selection process
• Pass a competency exam (one chance only) guaranteeing readiness and proficiency
• Complete livescan background check prior to start
• Must comply with all onboarding requirements which typically take 4 to 6 weeks
