A licensed pharmacist with a passion for hospital pharmacy is sought for a long-term contract opportunity within a large public health system in Southern California. Location: Sylmar, CA
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Flexible availability required, primarily 1st and 2nd shifts
- Occasional 3rd shifts may be necessary
Desired Experience:
- PGY-1 residency completion strongly preferred
- Open to pharmacists with approximately 2 years of inpatient or hospital experience, including those as interns
- Candidates without PGY-1 are considered if they demonstrate relevant hospital pharmacy experience
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately within an inpatient hospital setting
- Provide clinical pharmacy support to multi-disciplinary healthcare teams
- Comply with licensing, regulatory, and competency requirements
- Engage in ongoing professional development and competency assessments
- Prepare for and participate in on-site interviews as part of the hiring process
Contract Details:
- Long-term contract through an agency aligned with the Los Angeles County Department of Health System

- Onboarding process includes a mandatory competency exam (single attempt), followed by a background check (Livescan)
