Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Long Beach, California

A retail pharmacy is seeking a licensed Staff Pharmacist to support daily operations with a focus on quality patient care. This per diem position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment servicing approximately 60-70 prescriptions per day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications in compliance with legal and professional standards
• Review prescriptions for appropriateness and potential drug interactions
• Counsel patients on medication use and answer questions regarding prescriptions
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians and other staff members
• Maintain proper documentation and inventory control
• Uphold the pharmacy’s policies and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff

Qualifications:

• Active California Pharmacist License required
• Prior retail pharmacy experience preferred but not mandatory
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume setting
• Familiarity with Datascan pharmacy system is a plus but not required

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 9 AM to 6 PM
• Saturday: 10 AM to 2 PM
• Flexible per diem hours based on pharmacy needs
