Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Long Beach, California

This per diem opportunity is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to support a busy retail pharmacy with a prescription volume averaging 60-70 prescriptions daily. Operating Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM, this role provides flexibility with a PRN schedule. The setting features a small but efficient team consisting of one pharmacist and one technician, allowing for close collaboration and a focused work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescriptions while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions
• Collaborate effectively with the pharmacy technician and other healthcare providers to manage prescription flow and patient needs
• Maintain meticulous records and support inventory management
• Utilize pharmacy system software; familiarity with Datascan is a plus but not required

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacist License is mandatory
• Some prior pharmacy experience preferred to manage daily workflow confidently
• Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a small team setting
