Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Long Beach, California

This per diem position offers a professional opportunity for a licensed pharmacist to support retail pharmacy operations in Long Beach, CA. The role involves managing daily prescription processing with a moderate volume in a well-structured setting.

Location: Long Beach, CA
Start Date: May 18
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 6 PM
• Saturday: 10 AM – 2 PM

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense 60-70 prescriptions per day.
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians and staff pharmacists to ensure smooth workflow.
• Provide excellent patient counseling and support.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
• Utilize the Datascan system (knowledge of this system is a plus but not mandatory).

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Current California Pharmacist License.
• Experience in a retail pharmacy setting preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Work Environment:

• Retail pharmacy with a team of one pharmacist and one technician.
• Moderate prescription volume providing steady workflow without overwhelming pace.
