A Per Diem pharmacist opportunity is available in Lorain, OH, specializing in complex patient care within a specialty retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on providing exceptional medication therapy management for patients managing multiple complex conditions, requiring a detailed and compassionate approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert consultation and medication management for patients taking 8-15 medications daily.
• Communicate effectively with Medicare/Medicaid and low-income patients, ensuring understanding despite potential literacy challenges.
• Apply strong knowledge of the top 200-400 retail drugs, with an emphasis on chronic disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis.
• Utilize the Pioneer Rx software system to manage pharmacy operations accurately and efficiently.
• Deliver patient-centered care prioritizing quality and consultation over volume.

Qualifications:

• Proven retail or specialty pharmacy experience, preferably in specialty pharmacy settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in disease state management and patient consultations.
• Exceptional patience, compassion, and communication skills to support a diverse and underserved patient population.
• Ability to adapt to a per diem schedule and respond promptly to staffing needs.

Schedule:

• Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Specific dates include 2/3, 2/5, 2/10, 2/12, and 2/13
