Staff Pharmacist | Los Alamos, New Mexico

Located in Los Alamos, NM, this contract-to-hire opportunity offers a rewarding role as a Retail Staff Pharmacist working primarily day shifts. The position involves working in a busy pharmacy environment handling approximately 600 prescriptions daily.

Schedule:

• Flexible start times: 8:30 AM or 9:30 AM
• Pharmacy hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (rotating weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Deliver excellent customer service and provide thorough patient counseling
• Verify USP 800 non-sterile compounded prescriptions (verification only; no compounding required)
• Manage high-volume prescription processing in a fast-paced retail setting

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active and clear New Mexico Pharmacist License required
• Experience with non-sterile compounding preferred
• Background in a high-volume pharmacy highly valued
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
• Familiarity with Pioneer pharmacy system is beneficial
