An opportunity is available for an Interim Inpatient Pharmacy Technician based in Los Angeles, CA. This contract position offers full-time hours initially, transitioning to a PRN role after approximately one month, providing flexibility for those seeking both steady and supplemental work. The role focuses on supporting inpatient pharmacy operations within a facility licensed for 117 beds, with an average daily census of 44 patients.

Key responsibilities include IV compounding and managing medication fills using Pyxis automation systems. Experience with the Paragon/Allscripts order entry system is essential to ensure accurate processing and timely medication delivery. The position requires a valid California pharmacy technician license and a reliable candidate local to the Los Angeles area is preferred to accommodate rotating shifts efficiently.

Shift schedules rotate among pharmacy technicians and cover the following hours:

• Weekdays: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
• Weekends (Saturday and Sunday): 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacy Technician license
• Proficient in IV compounding techniques
• Experience working with Pyxis medication automation systems
• Familiarity with Paragon or Allscripts order entry systems
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends
