An opportunity is available for an Interim Inpatient Pharmacy Technician in the Los Angeles area. This role offers a full-time schedule initially, transitioning to PRN support after approximately one month, making it ideal for local candidates seeking a flexible and engaging position in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time (40 hours/week) for about 4 weeks, then part-time PRN
• Shift rotation with other technicians:
  • 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM
  • 12:00 PM to 08:30 PM
  • Weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday): 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Perform IV compounding adhering to hospital safety and quality standards
• Manage medication filling and dispensing using Pyxis automation systems
• Support inpatient pharmacy operations at a licensed 117-bed facility with an average daily census of 44 patients
• Enter medication orders accurately into the Paragon/Allscripts system
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure timely medication delivery

Qualifications:

• Valid California Pharmacy Technician license required
• Proficiency with IV compounding techniques and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Experience working in inpatient pharmacy settings preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and flexible availability for rotating shift coverage is essential
