Pharmacy professionals with strong expertise in outpatient oncology infusion are sought for immediate openings across the Greater Los Angeles Area. These contract roles involve working at multiple healthcare facilities within the region, including locations in West Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Atascadero. Candidates should be prepared for potential travel between sites to meet staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and check intravenous (IV) medication orders, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  • Apply thorough knowledge of USP 797 and USP 800 standards to maintain compliance in sterile compounding and hazardous drug handling.
  • Support chemotherapy preparation processes; prior oncology infusion experience is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical records software to document pharmaceutical care activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Current pharmacist licensure and credentials in California.
  • Solid IV medication preparation and verification skills.
  • Strong familiarity with outpatient oncology infusion practices.
  • Ability to adapt to multiple clinical sites and flexible in travel arrangements.
  • Experience with EPIC or similar healthcare IT systems.
  • Committed to maintaining high quality and safety standards per USP guidelines.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, day shift hours.

Contract Duration:

  • Minimum of 13 weeks, with potential for extension.
