Staff Pharmacist - Los Angeles, California

Located within a major county hospital, this role focuses on outpatient pharmacy services, supporting ambulatory care clinics and hospital operations. Candidates with retail or outpatient experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in an outpatient setting.
• Provide patient counseling and medication education.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and pharmacy operations.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist eligible to work in California.
• Minimum of two years current inpatient experience or completion of a PGY-1 residency (highly preferred).
• Experience in outpatient or retail pharmacy environments welcomed.
• Strong clinical knowledge and patient counseling skills.
• Ability to pass a competency exam — critical for onboarding.
• Successful completion of background checks (Livescan) and onboarding processes.

Schedule:

• 8-hour day shifts.

• Duration: Approximately 12 to 24 months, with potential extension.
