A retail pharmacy is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable pharmacist to provide exceptional patient care on a per diem basis. This role supports a small but busy team, processing approximately 60-70 prescriptions daily in a community-focused setting. The ideal candidate will hold an active California pharmacist license and bring prior experience to contribute effectively from day one.

Location: Los Angeles, CA
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
    Start Date: May 18
    Duration: PRN (as needed)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fill prescriptions and verify patient information
  • Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and safety
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technician and support staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain compliance with state laws and pharmacy regulations
  • Manage inventory and maintain documentation for all dispensing activities

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active California pharmacist license is required
  • Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Familiarity with Datascan system is helpful but not mandatory
