Per Diem Pharmacist in Los Angeles, CA

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist in a retail pharmacy setting located in Los Angeles, CA. This per diem position offers a flexible schedule within an efficient pharmacy environment processing approximately 60-70 prescriptions daily. The ideal candidate will hold a valid California pharmacy license and bring some pharmacy experience to ensure quality patient care and smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately dispensing prescription medications following all regulatory guidelines.
• Counseling patients on proper medication use, side effects, and storage.
• Collaborating closely with pharmacy technicians and other staff to maintain efficient workflow.
• Managing inventory and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Utilizing pharmacy systems, including Datascan (experience with this system is a plus but not required).

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Saturday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active California pharmacist license is required.
• Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team consisting of 1 pharmacist and 1 technician.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
