A pharmacy is seeking a dedicated per diem staff pharmacist to provide coverage through the summer and holiday season, including filling in for unexpected absences. This role is critical for supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring quality care in an HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy setting.
Schedule:
- Wednesday, 5/13 — 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Thursday, 5/14 — 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Friday, 5/15 — 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Optional: Up to 4 hours of paid training may be scheduled prior to coverage dates
Key Responsibilities:
- Filling and dispensing medications accurately
- Checking and verifying prescriptions for safety and compliance
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow efficiency
- Utilizing Pioneer Rx software for pharmacy operations
- Supporting HIV/AIDS medication management, if experienced
Qualifications:
- Current, active Kentucky pharmacist license required
- Prior experience as a staff pharmacist, preferably in retail
- Familiarity with HIV/AIDS medications is highly beneficial
- Proficient with pharmacy software, ideally Pioneer Rx
- Strong attention to detail and ability to supervise pharmacy technicians
