Staff Pharmacist in Lumberton, NC

This opportunity is for a skilled pharmacist to serve as the sole pharmacist on the night shift at a 300-bed regional medical center in Lumberton, North Carolina. Located about two hours east of Charlotte and close to Fayetteville, this role offers a dynamic environment where clinical expertise and independent decision-making are essential.

Schedule and Location:

• Night shift: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Work schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off (Thursday through Wednesday cycle)
• Lumberton, NC (conveniently situated between Charlotte and Wilmington)

Role Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders and ensure accuracy and safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians during your shift
• Consult with physicians and nurses on medication management
• Participate in pharmacokinetics monitoring and dosing adjustments
• Utilize electronic health record systems including EPIC and Pyxis to manage medication distribution and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active North Carolina pharmacist license
• Solid inpatient pharmacy experience, comfortable managing a hospital pharmacy independently
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers
• Familiarity with hospital IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis preferred

Contract Details:

• Immediate start date
• Contract length: 13 weeks or longer
• Possibility to extend or convert to permanent position
