Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Lyle, Washington

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to provide relief coverage in a 25-bed critical access hospital located in a charming small town on the Washington/Oregon border. This per diem position offers the chance to work in a close-knit healthcare environment while supporting essential patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmacy services during scheduled shifts with support from pharmacy technicians
• Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions in compliance with hospital policies
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy for hospitalized patients
• Utilize IT systems including Cerner and Pyxis to manage medication records and inventory
• Maintain a safe and effective pharmacy operation in alignment with regulatory standards

Schedule:

• Coverage dates: July 16, 17, 20, 23, 24, 30, 31; August 6, 7, 14, 15, 20, 21, 24, 25; Fridays in September
• Shift hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• No on-call or overnight duties

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year current hospital pharmacy experience required
• Licensed pharmacist eligible to practice in Washington
• Proficient with electronic health records and automated dispensing systems, preferably Cerner and Pyxis
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
