Pharmacist in Madison, WI

This role calls for a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to support retail pharmacy operations in Madison, WI. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications, counseling patients, and maintaining compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations. This position offers a structured day schedule with consistent hours and the opportunity for contract extensions.

Location:

• Madison, WI

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Every other Saturday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescriptions and verify medication orders
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions
• Maintain up-to-date patient records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Utilize Pioneer RX pharmacy software to manage workflow and documentation
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain inventory and support overall retail operations
• Ensure a safe and efficient pharmacy environment

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Valid Wisconsin pharmacy license
• Proven retail pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with Pioneer RX software is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment

This is a 13-week contract position with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs. Agreements will be signed prior to starting.
