This per diem pharmacist opportunity offers a focused role within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and 340B pharmacy environment. The position is situated in the Marion, IN area, providing a structured schedule with no holiday or weekend shifts, supporting work-life balance.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Thursday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Lunch daily from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
- Assignment dates: January 29 and January 30
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately for patient pickup or delivery.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering and maintaining equipment and pharmaceutical supplies.
- Apply best practice protocols for the storage of prescription drugs and controlled substances, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Verify prescriptions with prescribing healthcare professionals when necessary.
- Maintain current and approved drug formularies and monitor expiry dates.
- Oversee the retail pharmacy environment, including product displays and cleanliness.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
- Document inventory, patient records, and insurance claims with precision.
- Provide telepharmacy support as needed.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to support staff development and pharmacy operations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana Pharmacist license (verification required).
- Immunization certification/license.
- Recent resume, skills checklist, and professional references.
- Experience working with Liberty RX software preferred.
