A community hospital in Western North Carolina with 150 beds is seeking two experienced pharmacists to join their team. This opportunity is open to candidates interested in contract, temp-to-hire, or permanent roles. The hospital utilizes EPIC and Pyxis systems and offers a dynamic work environment focused on patient care and collaboration.

Location:

  • Morganton, NC

Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • Mix of day and afternoon shifts (Afternoon shift hours: 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing leadership and support
  • Manage pharmacokinetics services, including dosing consultations
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Licensed pharmacist in good standing, with all necessary state certifications
  • Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of pharmacokinetics and clinical pharmacy practices
