Staff Pharmacist | Marion, North Carolina

An opportunity is available for two pharmacists to support a 150-bed community hospital in Western North Carolina. This role involves providing comprehensive pharmacy services within a hospital setting equipped with EPIC and Pyxis systems. Candidates can consider contract, temp-to-hire, or permanent positions.

Location: Morganton, NC
Hospital Size: 150 beds
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, a combination of day and afternoon shifts (approximately 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM)
Start Date: Immediate availability preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure workflow and safety standards
• Manage pharmacokinetics and advanced medication monitoring
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to provide expert medication consultation
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist in good standing with relevant state boards
• Experience in hospital pharmacy environments preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to work varied shifts including evenings
