Staff Pharmacist – Per Diem Opportunity (Fridays, 9am-5pm)

A retail and compounding pharmacy is seeking a qualified Staff Pharmacist to work every Friday from 9am to 5pm. This per diem position offers the opportunity to contribute your expertise in retail pharmacy while engaging in non-sterile compounding oversight in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed retail prescription checks with a focus on accuracy and safety
• Perform calculations related to non-sterile compounding formulas
• Review and verify compounded medications to ensure compliance with standards
• Utilize Pioneer RX software for order entry and documentation
• Support the retail pharmacy line primarily, with limited counseling duties

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Virginia pharmacy license
• Proven experience in retail pharmacy operations
• Non-sterile compounding experience highly preferred
• Strong mathematical skills to accurately verify compound formulas
• Familiarity with Pioneer RX system is beneficial

Work Schedule:

• Fridays, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
