Staff Pharmacist - Mckeesport, Pennsylvania

A retail pharmacy is seeking a part-time staff pharmacist to support daily operations and ensure outstanding patient care. This role offers 20-24 hours per week with additional coverage during vacation periods, providing a flexible opportunity for experienced pharmacists.

Location:

• Retail pharmacy based in the Pittsburgh, PA area

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, pharmacy hours 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Shifts available: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Pharmacy closed weekends
• Peak prescription times typically from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense an average of 300 prescriptions per day
• Deliver excellent patient counseling and pharmaceutical care
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws
• Collaborate effectively with the pharmacy team to ensure smooth workflow
• Utilize Pioneer Rx for prescription processing and pharmacy management

Qualifications:

• Proven retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience with Pioneer Rx system considered a strong plus
• Active pharmacist license in good standing
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
• Attention to detail and ability to manage high volume during peak hours
