Long Term Care Staff Pharmacist in Meriden, KS

A closed-door pharmacy in Topeka, KS is seeking a Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This position offers the chance to work in a focused long-term care (LTC) pharmacy environment, supporting a critical healthcare niche with a dedicated team.

Location: Topeka, KS (closed-door pharmacy)
Job Type: Contract to Hire (13 weeks)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and check stat medications, Ekits, and blister pack medications accurately
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and compliance
• Verify and check intravenous (IV) preparations
• Maintain efficiency and meet production goals within the LTC pharmacy setting

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Kansas pharmacist license in hand
• Prior experience in a long-term care pharmacy strongly preferred
• Clear understanding of LTC workflow, pace, and regulatory requirements
• Candidates from retail pharmacy backgrounds with a positive attitude and ability to maintain production pace are encouraged to apply and will receive training
