Retail Staff Pharmacist in Mesa, AZ

A specialty pharmacy is seeking TWO experienced Specialty Pharmacists for a 13-week contract with potential for direct hire. This role requires advanced expertise in handling rare and orphan drugs for patients with rare diseases. The position demands a pharmacy professional who has worked specifically in a specialty pharmacy setting—not retail pharmacies that dispense specialty drugs.

Location: Mesa, AZ
Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime shifts
Type: Contract (finalizing contract terms; start ASAP)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and dispense rare/orphan specialty medications with precision and care
• Collaborate closely with patients and healthcare providers to facilitate medication access
• Assist patients and providers with navigating drug approval processes, insurance, grants, rebates, and other financial assistance programs
• Provide high-touch, patient-centered communication and clinical support for complex cases
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and clinical guidelines related to specialty pharmacy services

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven experience working in a designated specialty pharmacy environment (not retail pharmacy dispensing only)
