A dynamic opportunity is available for experienced pharmacists to join a per diem team serving multiple community pharmacy locations. This role focuses on providing flexible, reliable pharmacy coverage to manage call-outs, vacations, and sudden volume increases. The ideal candidate will work 2-4 days per week and help form a skilled team prepared to deliver exceptional patient care across a range of retail environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense and verify prescriptions accurately, maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards
  • Provide immunizations and health screenings as authorized
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow
  • Participate in comprehensive training sessions to master pharmacy operations and system usage
  • Adapt to variable scheduling, including coverage during peak volume periods and staff absences

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
  • Valid immunization privileges and current BLS certification required
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software, with experience using QS1 a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to function effectively in both pharmacist-supported and pharmacist-only settings

Schedule & Hours:

  • Pharmacy operation hours are Monday through Saturday, approximately 10 AM to 7 PM; some locations may close as late as 8 PM
  • Shift availability varies with no guaranteed hours; flexibility to cover 2-4 days weekly is ideal

This per diem position includes dedicated training, beginning with an 8-hour session to familiarize new team members with systems and protocols. Additional training is provided as needed to support professional development.
