A direct hire opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support a closed-door long-term care (LTC) pharmacy located in a Northeast suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. This role requires dedicated clinical expertise paired with operational proficiency to ensure safe and effective pharmaceutical care for patients requiring specialized drug therapies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacist duties (approximately 70%) including reviewing and verifying new patient orders, collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize drug therapy, assessing patient-specific drug and disease information, and monitoring therapeutic outcomes.
  • Provide expert consultation to physicians, nursing staff, patients, and families on drug usage and therapy management while maintaining thorough documentation of all clinical activities.
  • Perform operational tasks (approximately 25%) such as processing and checking medications, maintaining pharmacy records, participating in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations, and contributing to staff training and department meetings.
  • Execute regulatory duties (approximately 5%) by dispensing pharmaceutical supplies in compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and pharmacy practice standards.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of pharmacy experience, specifically within a long-term care pharmacy setting.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy systems, with Frameworks highly preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacotherapy principles and ability to assess drug efficacy and safety.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team effectively.
