Staff Pharmacist in Monument, NM

A hospital in Hobbs, NM, is urgently seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join their team on a contract basis. This 60-bed facility operates with EPIC and Pyxis systems and offers a structured day-shift schedule focused on maintaining high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Schedule:

• 7 days on, 7 days off
• Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Wednesday to Tuesday rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure workflow and compliance
• Consult with physicians and nurses to provide pharmaceutical expertise
• Maintain medication safety and inventory control in the hospital setting

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous hospital pharmacy experience is highly preferred
• NM pharmacist license is ideal, or willingness to obtain a temporary New Mexico license promptly
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems is a plus
