A busy retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to join their dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with strong technician support, utilizing the PioneerRx system to manage approximately 3,000 prescriptions weekly. The ideal candidate will hold an active Kentucky pharmacist license and possess recent retail pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify prescriptions and ensure accuracy and safety
  • Provide patient counseling and answer medication-related questions
  • Oversee pharmacy workflow while supporting technician staff
  • Utilize PioneerRx software to process and manage prescriptions efficiently
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
  • Deliver excellent customer service to both patients and pharmacy staff
  • Participate in Saturday coverage approximately 1 to 2 times per month

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Recent retail pharmacy experience, preferred
  • Experience with PioneerRx system, preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume pharmacy setting
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Flexible availability, including some Saturday shifts

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (work four weekdays)
  • Saturday coverage 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, approximately 1 to 2 times per month

This full-time, contract-to-hire position provides an excellent chance to contribute to a well-staffed retail pharmacy team, supported by 2 pharmacists and multiple technicians during weekdays, and 1 pharmacist with technician support on Saturdays.
