A 150-bed community hospital in Western North Carolina is seeking two skilled pharmacists to support their pharmacy operations. This role involves working a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule with a mix of days and afternoon shifts (approximately 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM). Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians, coordinating workflow and maintaining compliance
  • Apply pharmacokinetic principles to individualize patient medication dosing
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and provide consultation
  • Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Licensed pharmacist in good standing
  • Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations, particularly in a community hospital setting
  • Proficiency in EPIC and Pyxis pharmacy information systems preferred
  • Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and supervise staff in a fast-paced environment

Location:

  • Morganton, North Carolina, serving a growing healthcare community in Western NC

Schedule:

  • 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts with a rotating schedule of days and afternoons
