Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Mount Lemmon, Arizona

A per diem opportunity is available for experienced pharmacists to join a growing team supporting multiple pharmacy locations in Mount Lemmon, AZ. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time hours with flexible scheduling, ready to provide coverage during call-outs, vacations, and periods of increased prescription volume.

Typical pharmacy operations run Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some locations extending to 8 p.m. While specific shifts cannot be guaranteed, pharmacists are typically needed for 2-4 days per week to maintain adequate coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense and manage prescription medications accurately and efficiently, handling an average prescription volume of 100-125 per day
• Provide excellent patient counseling and education regarding medications
• Administer immunizations as authorized
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy software for prescription processing and inventory management
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other staff members to ensure smooth operations
• Participate in an initial 8-hour training session to prepare for pharmacist-only sites and unique pharmacy workflows; additional training will be provided as needed

Qualifications:

• 1-2+ years retail pharmacy experience preferred, with demonstrated ability to work independently
• Certified immunizer and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to varying site setups, including pharmacist-only locations with limited technician support
