Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Mount Washington, KY

A pharmacy opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist on a per diem basis, offering coverage through the summer and holiday season. This role involves providing essential support during scheduled shifts and as needed for sick call coverage.

Location:

• Mount Washington, KY

Schedule:

• Wednesday, 5/13: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
• Thursday, 5/14: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
• Friday, 5/15: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. *Paid training of approximately four hours may be scheduled prior to these dates.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense and verify medications accurately in a retail pharmacy setting
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure quality service
• Manage typical retail pharmacy operations with a focus on patient safety
• Utilize Pioneer Rx software effectively for daily tasks
• Experience with HIV/AIDS medications is advantageous to support specialized pharmacy needs

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current pharmacist license in Kentucky is required
• Strong knowledge of retail pharmacy workflow
• Proficiency with pharmacy software systems, preferably Pioneer Rx
• Experience or familiarity with HIV/AIDS specialty medications is a plus
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and communication
