Staff Pharmacist in Moville, IA

A pharmacy professional is needed to fill a contract position in Sioux City, IA, working night shifts on a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule. This role offers an immediate start and extends for a minimum of 13 weeks. The schedule is from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, providing a consistent and predictable work pattern.

Key responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient pharmacy operations
• Managing pharmacokinetics and adjusting medication dosages appropriately
• Consulting with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care
• Providing pharmacy services across all units, with an emphasis on experience in critical care units (CCU) being advantageous

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with relevant state certification
• Prior experience with critical care patients is highly valuable
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, specifically EPIC, and medication management systems such as Pyxis
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare providers and pharmacy staff
