A pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem Staff Pharmacist to provide critical support within their specialty-retail setting. This role focuses on filling specialized packaging for nursing homes, ensuring accuracy and providing excellent patient counseling.
Location: Mt Zion, IL
Schedule: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (Per Diem)
Start Date: April 1
Responsibilities include:
- Verifying prescriptions to ensure safe and accurate dispensing
- Providing thorough patient counseling to support medication adherence and understanding
- Utilizing the Pioneer RX system efficiently for processing and managing prescriptions
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois State Pharmacist License
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy practice and regulations
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Experience with specialty pharmacy or retail pharmacy settings is a plus
