A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) pharmacy is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical services on a per diem basis. This role supports a 340B pharmacy environment, ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations while delivering exceptional patient care.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Lunch 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Lunch 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
- No holidays or weekend shifts
- Assignment dates: January 29 and January 30
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare drugs and prescription orders for collection or delivery with accuracy and efficiency
- Manage ordering of equipment and pharmacy supplies to maintain operational readiness
- Control inventory, applying best practices for storing prescription drugs and controlled substances
- Verify prescription details with healthcare providers as needed
- Maintain approved drug lists and check expiry dates regularly to ensure safety
- Monitor pharmacy displays, shelves, and overall cleanliness
- Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally
- Keep accurate records of inventory, patient information, and insurance claims
- Maintain daily operations of the retail pharmacy and provide telepharmacy support
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager concerning staff progress and pharmacy needs
- Ensure all pharmacy services meet state and federal regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Indiana (verified)
- Immunization certification/license required
- Proficiency with Liberty RX software preferred
- Spanish language skills are a plus
- Up-to-date resume, skills checklist, and references
