Staff Pharmacist in Murfreesboro, TN

A specialty mail order pharmacy focused on renal care requires experienced pharmacists to support its growing operations. This well-established facility fills approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily, providing an impactful opportunity to make a difference in patient care through accurate medication verification and dispensing.

This contract role offers 40 hours per week with multiple shifts available:

• 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM (2 positions)
• 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM (1 position)

The initial contract duration is 13 weeks, with potential for conversion to permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) duties, including final verification of prescriptions.
• Confirm correct medication, packaging, and directions match prescription details and hard copy documentation.
• Utilize Wellsky pharmacy order entry system to accurately verify orders.
• Collaborate with pharmacy team to ensure medication safety and quality standards.
• No on-call duties required.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current pharmacy licensure with eligibility to practice.
• Previous pharmacy experience, ideally in a mail order or specialty setting.
• Proficiency with pharmacy systems, particularly Wellsky, is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication verification.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.

• Pharmacy located in Murfreesboro, TN area with commute to Lavergne, TN.
